And no end in sight.
Well, okay, there is a little break on Monday.

The last time it was that hot in Adelaide in November
was (4 days in a row above 35 degrees) in 1894.

So, no vegetables in the ground yet.
Okay, it's not the end of the world. But. BUT.

Ps.: This post is for Maggie who wondered why
no bloggers had written about the heat yet.
There you are! :)

Another Ps.: I want spring! This heatwave is not welcome!
It's for summer, if it must!

My heart goes out to you! I'd hate to go through that. I crumble here when it gets to 30! Fingers crossed for a cool change and a mild Summer.

You poor things, it doesn't bode well does it. Hope you have lots of shade structures for the summer.

My tomatoes have little ones....hope the sun doesn't burn them to a crisp this year. So far, so good. I think I'll have a go at constructing some type of shade for them.

I can't believe there are still climate change deniers, in all this. They clearly live inside, and never read the papers or venture out of doors.

I grew up in Adelaide, and lived there until my mid-20s. I don't remember anything like this sort of weather. EVER.

Stay cool, drink lots of water. Take care.

Do hope you get some relief soon.

Hi VG, you have the heat bad. I was just grumbling about the same thing over on my blog because it seems that when Adelaide gets it hot, we get it the next day in Melton, only a few degrees cooler. I am taking measures via irrigation to help me through these crazy times, and a lot of shade cloth for each bed. Seems to be the only way to grow anything is to adapt with the changes, because no bugger is going to do anything about it except us!

Hey, folks. Thanks for all the comments. This morning there is a bit of fog hanging in the trees, all windows and doors are open to cool the house down. It's 'only' 20 C at the moment and I'm loving it.

We will definitely have to change a few things - the way we garden for one. A shade cloth hoop house over a few garden beds might be the next project. Or at least some shade cloth over garden beds to offer protection.

We have a little break before the heat starts again. But hopefully the forecast change will arrive on Friday, with a shower or two! We'll be out in the garden the whole weekend, in the showers, and lapping it up. :)
