Two mad gnomes and a big garden.
The Veggie Gnome does the edible stuff, the Berry Gnome the berries and taties.
I think I had a chocolate mint once but didn't use it. Can't remember what it tasted like either. It sounds as though it would be good to pop into something like minty chocolate chip muffins or ice cream. There again I'm just going for the chololate minty flavour which may be completely wrong!
You can use it like any mint plant in drinks, salads, desserts, sauces or as a garnish. It can be added to biscuits, muffins, cakes, ice creams and cocktails. You can steep it in a cup of hot water to get the chocolate mint flavor and aroma without the sugar. You can make a chocolate mint syrup for desserts, just think chocolate and the ideas can be endless:)I dry mine and use it in anything I am making that is chocolate based
Thanks, Sue & Molly. Good suggestions! Will experiment a little bit. Maybe start with a Chocolate Mint Tea! I do love my Peppermint Tea, and the plant gets quite heavily picked. It'll enjoy a rest, I'm sure. :)
I mainly use mine as a tea. I tend to forget it is there and should use it more.Barb.
