First asparagus of the season

Wow! How time flies. Suddenly it is time to harvest our first asparagus again. What a joy!
You can see them poking out their little heads. Just don't forget to check on them again the next day. They grow like crazy.
Together with some little broccoli heads and parsley...
... you can't go past an asparagus omelette!
Oh, how I love our seasons! :)

The omelette looks lovely but I have to admit that asparagus is one thing we don't grow.

Sue, I am surprised. Well, it does take up a little space, but you do have it for a few decades to come. And it's easy to maintain. Well, at least over here. :)

I'll not be gardening in decades time - I most likely won't even be around so no point starting!!!

Yeah, but it'll give you a good harvest in a year or two - depending on what kind of crowns you get. :)))
