Two mad gnomes and a big garden. The Veggie Gnome does the edible stuff, the Berry Gnome the berries and taties.
Wow, that is gorgeous!!! I can't wait to grow these next year.
We've grown coloured cauliflowers too - it will be interesting to here what you think of the colour it goes after cooking the purple one.
Wow beautiful!!! Will it make your other veggies turned purple too when cooked??
Wish we lived closer!!!
what a perfect specimen!
S - they are very rewarding to grow! Good luck for next year. :)Sue - they only go a touch paler. So, nothing too gross to look at on the plate. Actually, quite pretty (and tasty). :)Nina - no, it does not leach its colour. Just goes a little bit paler. :)Maggie - yes. Why not come up for a drive? :)Africanaussie - Thank you! It sure is. :)
That's interesting as we grew purple cauliflowers that went a sort of dark purplish blue when cooked and didn't look very appetising - maybe a different variety or could the type of water have an affect?
