Purple Cauliflower

I just have to brag about this beauty! I will harvest this one tomorrow or Friday. Isn't it a ripper?! :)

We've grown coloured cauliflowers too - it will be interesting to here what you think of the colour it goes after cooking the purple one.

S - they are very rewarding to grow! Good luck for next year. :)

Sue - they only go a touch paler. So, nothing too gross to look at on the plate. Actually, quite pretty (and tasty). :)

Nina - no, it does not leach its colour. Just goes a little bit paler. :)

Maggie - yes. Why not come up for a drive? :)

That's interesting as we grew purple cauliflowers that went a sort of dark purplish blue when cooked and didn't look very appetising - maybe a different variety or could the type of water have an affect?
