The end of the season
...at least for certain mushrooms and fungi in the forest.
I took tons of photos of various fungi. They are absolutely fascinating in their colours and shapes and their various hiding places. Here's one of my favourite pictures:
My neighbour has some of those in his front garden. He is actually studying fungi at Hobart Uni so knows what he's talking about, I hope! But he said that they grew close to the Silver Birch trees. He did explain why but unfortunately my brain did not retain the info, sigh..... Jan
