The end of the season

...at least for certain mushrooms and fungi in the forest.

I took tons of photos of various fungi. They are absolutely fascinating in their colours and shapes and their various hiding places. Here's one of my favourite pictures:

    WoW, They look like little tommie tomatoes that have fallen to the ground.

    My neighbour has some of those in his front garden. He is actually studying fungi at Hobart Uni so knows what he's talking about, I hope! But he said that they grew close to the Silver Birch trees. He did explain why but unfortunately my brain did not retain the info, sigh.....
