They are big, juicy, tasty cucumbers. So the bulk of them went into big jars to be pickled. I followed the instructions on this page.

Nice! I have a few cucumbers that I have been wondering what to do with. Looks like a pickle is on the cards!

Such a good swap. I'll try Cucs next summer, this one has been to up and down in temps to even germinate them.
ReplyDeleteA warm Wellington day this Summer has been 23C. Okay if was steady, but southerly blasts from Antarctica have slowed things down - amazingly this has helped the sugar snap peas, they go into a huff in the cooler times and then produce madly when the sun comes back. Am about to get the last crop from plants producing (eratically but well) since Xmas.
