Crazy about salads
The salad bed is looking good at the moment. Plenty of lovely lettuces. Amish Deer Tongue, Red Oakleaf, Green Oakleaf, Lamb's Lettuce, Wild Rocket, Salad Burnet.

nice. we call this dinner bits n pieces and serve it all seperately , that way the kids think salad is a treat! a smorgasboard! whoop!

Daharja, it's a (very nice) lettuce variety. Apparently the shape of a deer's tongue. I wouldn't know, as I have never looked a deer in the mouth. :)
