Chickpeas

Isn't it amazing what you can grow?

Here is a box of chickpeas that I sowed quite a while ago. I had never even thought of growing chickpeas, until a gardening friend mentioned he was growing some. They look really pretty. This is the first time I'm growing them, so it'll be interesting to watch their progress.I sowed them in a box due to autumn/winter being slug & snail time. It's easier to keep an eye on things (and protect them) if they are in a box just outside the laundry.

  1. I have seen them growing on a farm on YP and I think it would be fun to have a go too....I love your new visitor counter!

  2. I might try this too, I did further reading about growing chickpeas.
It is fun reading about what others are growing and see the results.
I love the Alpacas below. We live near Urrbrae and see all their Alpacas, sheep, goats and cattle each day.
Can you tell me why do roosters crow so loudly at 2 or 3am?.
It is lovely to see the animals so happy, grazing on the lush green winter grasses.

  3. Yes, do give them a go! It'd be interesting to see how they fare in different gardens.

Roosters are just happy to tell you at 2-3am that all is well out there and not to worry. :) And they have to crow loudly so that you wake up to here about their happiness.

  4. Okay, next time they wake me up, I just know all is well out there!
Do you have chickens and a rooster.
I've read about peoples chickens but a post about roosters would be good.
