The best sweet corn ever
Even though it does not look perfect. A few gaps, small, etc. but it's our own. We grew it. Just bung it in boiling water for a minute or two.
Then a dollop of butter on the cob, let it melt, tuck in. It was incredibly sweet, tender and creamy. Not that I am biased or something. But it was the best sweet corn ever. :)

Unfortunately we had a crop failure for the first time ever.It was far too dry!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a shame, Sue! I'm sorry to hear.
DeleteThis is the first crop in a few years, as I had given up on sweet corn. It seemed too hard to keep alive during the drought. Now we have a bit more water again (and less extreme heat waves), and what a treat it's been. Hopefully, you'll have a good crop again next season! :)
Mmmmm - put the water on and let it get to the boil, then go harvest the corn ...... fresh corn delight as those cobs have zilch time to convert their sugars to starch !
ReplyDeleteI'm so very happy you each and both got to enjoy this.
